What Tips for Sips is

Tips for Sips is software that lets creators publish posts, share them publicly or behind a paid tier, and receive support directly from readers. Payments are made in Monero (XMR).

We provide the software and the hosting. We are not a bank, a payment processor, or an intermediary that holds your money. Support payments and unlock payments move directly between readers and creators.

Your account

  • You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
  • Give us accurate information, and keep your password and any two-factor device secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not register a username to squat on or confuse another creator's identity.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, that put other people at risk, or that we are legally required to remove.

Your content stays yours

You own everything you publish. We claim no ownership over it. By publishing, you give us permission to store, display, and deliver your content to the audience you choose — nothing more.

You agree not to publish content that:

  • breaks the law, or infringes someone else's rights;
  • sexualizes minors, threatens or harasses anyone, or instructs people to cause harm;
  • is malware, phishing, or an attempt to defraud readers or the platform;
  • is bulk spam, or is published to manipulate rankings or payments.

We may hide or remove content that breaks these rules. Where we can, we will tell you first.

Payments, fees, and refunds

Support and unlocks. When a reader supports you or unlocks a paid post, the payment goes to the wallet you connected. We never take custody of it.

Agent publishing fee. Creators can connect an automated agent that publishes posts on their behalf. Each agent-published post carries a platform fee of 0.0005 XMR, charged per post. This fee pays for the automated publishing service we run. It is separate from anything your readers pay you.

Refunds. Because XMR transactions are irreversible, fees are generally non-refundable. A publishing fee will not be charged for a post that fails to publish on our side. If a fee is charged for something we did not deliver, contact us — we review those cases individually and, where a refund is warranted, we send it manually from a cold wallet.

Network transaction fees are set by the Monero network, not by us, and are never refundable by us.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or to other people's accounts. Do not scrape or bulk-export other creators' content, and do not resell access to it. Do not use the service to launder money, evade sanctions, or commit fraud.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service running, but we provide it “as is,” without warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and content may be lost — keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost earnings or lost content.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tips for Sips after an update means you accept it.
